At Sexual Assault Africa Foundation, we are dedicated to providing support, resources, and advocacy to empower survivors, raise awareness, and work towards an Africa future free from sexual violence.
Who We Are
Sexual Assault Africa Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Rachel Emefa Afi Markham, A survivor committed to addressing the prevalence of sexual assault in Africa. Our connections consists of experienced professionals, activists, and volunteers who are driven by a shared vision of creating positive change in our communities.
Our Services
Crisis Support: We offer a confidential helpline and online chat support for survivors in need of immediate assistance. Our trained counselors provide emotional support, information, and referrals to local resources.
Counseling and Therapy: We provide trauma-informed counseling services to survivors, helping them navigate the healing process and regain a sense of control over their lives.
Legal Advocacy: Our team works to empower survivors through legal advocacy, providing guidance on reporting options, navigating the legal system, and accessing justice.
Community Education: We conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate communities about sexual assault, consent, and healthy relationships. By challenging harmful attitudes and beliefs, we strive to prevent future incidents of violence.
